Overview
The YFZDY / YFDBY series are hard-tooth-surface gear reducers designed and manufactured to Chinese national standards. The family covers two structures: parallel-shaft cylindrical ("column") reducers, designated YFZDY (single stage), YFZLY (two stage) and YFZSY (three stage), and right-angle bevel-cylindrical ("cone-column") reducers, designated YFDBY (two stage) and YFDCY (three stage). Hollow-shaft versions carry a K suffix (ZDY/ZLY/ZSY/DBYK/DCYK), and KD denotes a hollow shaft with shrink disc.
The main parameters, centre distance and nominal ratio, are optimised at the design stage and the principal parts are interchangeable, which shortens delivery time. All gears are made from premium alloy steel, carburised, quenched and precision ground, giving high accuracy, large load capacity, high efficiency, long service life, smooth running and low noise. The housing is a split cast design (lower and upper case) with end covers, breather cap, oil dipstick, rolling bearings, lip oil seals and keyed solid input/output shafts, as shown in the 54-part exploded view. Cooling is normally by oil-bath (splash) lubrication; for special duty a fan, cooling coil or oil-pump circulation system can be fitted, and the catalogue gives separate thermal-capacity tables for each cooling condition. The cover highlights a three-layer high-density polymer paint finish that keeps out dust and withstands high temperature, high-grade ball bearings that reduce friction, and precision-ground alloy-steel gears for accurate meshing.
Transmission ratios for the cylindrical ZDY/ZLY/ZSY types are 1.25–6.3 (single stage), 6.3–20 (two stage) and 22.4–100 (three stage); for the bevel-cylindrical DBY/DCY types they are 8–14 (two stage) and 16–50 (three stage), with forward and reverse rotation and four mounting arrangements. Model designations follow the pattern YFD B Y K 160 14 III S: type (YFZ parallel-shaft / YFD bevel-helical), number of stages, Y for hardened tooth, K for hollow shaft, centre height, nominal ratio, assembly design / installation pattern, and S (clockwise) or N (counter-clockwise) input rotation. Frame sizes run from 80 to 560 for single-stage ZDY and 112 to 710 for two-stage ZLY, with nominal input speeds of 750, 1000 and 1500 r/min. These reducers are general-purpose industrial drives for heavy machinery such as conveyors, mills, mixers, cranes and metallurgical, mining and chemical equipment.
