Overview
The YFSWL series is a worm gear screw jack (worm screw rod lifter): a worm and worm-wheel pair driving a trapezoidal (Tr) threaded screw to raise and lower a load. The catalogue describes it as compact in structure, small and light, flexible, reliable, long-lived and easy to install, and it is self-locking when stopped so the load is held without a brake. Eleven sizes are offered, YFSWL1 through YFSWL100, with maximum lifting force from 10 kN to 1000 kN (1 t to 100 t) and screw threads from Tr22x5 to Tr150x24.
Construction, as shown in the 20-part exploded view, is a cast housing with cover, a bronze-type worm wheel on rolling bearings driven by a worm shaft with keyed input ends, lip oil seals, end covers and a grease nipple; the screw passes through the worm wheel. Two structural types are available: type 1 where the screw travels axially without rotating, and type 2 where the screw rotates and a travelling nut moves along it, each in an upward (A) or downward (B) arrangement. Screw-end couplings can be a flat head (I), roller head (II), fork/clevis head (III) or keyhole head (IV), and a protective tube (Z) or anti-rotation device (F) can be specified. Two worm ratios are offered per size: P (normal speed) and M (slow speed), for example 1/8 and 1/25 on YFSWL2.5. The cover highlights a three-layer high-density polymer paint finish that keeps out dust and withstands high temperature, high-grade ball bearings that reduce friction, and premium alloy-steel precision-ground gearing.
Model designation follows the pattern YFSWL 2.5 M 1 A 500 Z I: series, size, ratio, structural type, assembly form, travel in mm, accessories and coupling type. Maximum travel ranges from 300 mm on YFSWL1 to 2000 mm on the largest sizes (longer travel available for tension loads). Lubrication is calcium-based grease ZGN-1 or ZGN-2 (-20 to 100 C); the working environment should be indoors, free of rain, at -15 to 40 C and below 85% relative humidity, with a dust shield or protective bellows in dusty or outdoor locations.
Typical applications are lifting platforms, all kinds of elevators and moving devices, and switch or valve actuation; several jacks are commonly linked in parallel from one drive through T-series bevel gearboxes.
