F series parallel axes helical gear reducer

Overview

The YFF series is Yanfeng Group's parallel-shaft helical gear reducer. Its housing carries the input and output shafts on parallel axes, with the motor mounted directly on the gear unit through a motor flange. The exploded view in the catalogue shows a cast housing with a bolted housing cover and gasket, a helical pinion shaft and gear train on rolling bearings, an output shaft with parallel key, oil sight glass, breather cap and drain plug, and a lip-type oil seal on the output side.

The cover page highlights three construction features: a three-layer high-density polymer paint finish that seals out dust and withstands higher temperatures; premium ball bearings that reduce friction and raise transmission efficiency; and precision-ground gears made from high-quality alloy steel to improve meshing accuracy and guarantee quality.

The series is offered in a wide range of mounting arrangements, including flange-mounted (B5 and B14), hollow-shaft, foot-mounted and flange-plus-hollow-shaft variants, single-stage versions and a version with extended bearing housing, in six standard mounting positions (M1 to M6) with the motor terminal box at 0, 90, 180 or 270 degrees. The selection guide notes that the gear units are rated for steady load, an operating time of a few hours per day and few starts; for other duty the required torque is multiplied by driven-machine, prime-mover and starting service factors before comparing against the unit's permissible torque.

The catalogue selection table lists ten frame sizes (37 to 157) covering motor input powers from 0.12 kW to 200 kW, ratios from about 3.77 to 281.71 and permissible output torques from 196 N·m to 16,800 N·m.
