Overview
The YFR series is Yanfeng Group's coaxial (in-line) helical gear reducer. It is supplied either as a bare gear unit or as a geared motor with a directly flanged AC motor, and is offered in thirteen frame sizes from R17 up to R167, covering input powers from 0.12 kW to 160 kW and permissible output torques from 87 N·m to 17,700 N·m. A single-stage YFRX variant (sizes 37 to 107) covers low ratios from about 1.4 to 6.6.
The exploded view in the catalogue shows a conventional multi-stage helical gear train: a cast housing with a bolted top cover and sealing gasket, a breather cap, an oil sight glass and drain plug, a lifting eye, a solid keyed output shaft carried on rolling bearings, intermediate gear shafts and gears, shaft sleeves, circlips and lip (skeleton) oil seals. The cover page highlights three construction points: a three-layer high-density polymer paint finish that seals out dust and tolerates high temperature, high-grade ball bearings that reduce friction and raise transmission efficiency, and precision-ground gears in high-quality alloy steel that improve meshing accuracy.
The unit can be ordered foot-mounted (YFR), flange-mounted with B5 flange (YFRF, type code F), foot-and-flange mounted (R...F) or, for single-stage units, foot- or flange-mounted YFRX / YFRXF. Units are specified by the catalogue type designation (enterprise code YF, series letter, mounting code, frame size, motor power and poles, ratio i or output speed, mounting position M1–M6, output-shaft side, terminal-box orientation) and are available in six mounting positions M1 to M6, with the breather plug, oil sight glass and drain plug relocated for each position.
The selection guide states that the gear units are rated for steady load, a stated daily operating time and a limited number of starts; for other duty the required torque is multiplied by a driven-machine factor f1, a prime-mover factor f2 and a starting factor f3 and compared with the permissible torque (T_N >= T2 x f1 x f2 x f3).
