Overview
The YFK series is Yanfeng Group's right-angle helical-bevel gear reducer. A helical input stage drives a spiral-bevel gear set so that the output shaft is at 90 degrees to the motor axis. It is supplied as a bare gear unit or as a geared motor with a directly flanged AC motor, in twelve frame sizes from K37 to K187, covering input powers from 0.18 kW to 200 kW and permissible output torques from 156 N·m to 49,400 N·m, the highest of the four YF series.
The exploded view in the catalogue shows a cast housing with a bolted side cover and sealing gasket, a breather cap, an oil sight glass and drain plug, a bevel gear and bevel-gear shaft, helical gears and gear shafts, a solid keyed output shaft carried on rolling bearings, shaft sleeves, circlips, a lock washer and round nut for bearing preload, and flat and lip (skeleton) oil seals. The cover page highlights three construction points: a three-layer high-density polymer paint finish that seals out dust and tolerates high temperature, high-grade ball bearings that reduce friction and raise transmission efficiency, and precision-ground gears in high-quality alloy steel that improve meshing accuracy.
The series is offered foot-mounted (YFK), flange-mounted (YFKF), with hollow output shaft (YFKA) and with hollow shaft plus flange (YFKAF); the type-designation key also lists B14 flange (AZ), foot-plus-hollow-shaft (A...B) and foot-plus-flange (K...F) combinations. Units are ordered by the catalogue type designation (enterprise code YF, series letter, mounting code, frame size, motor power and poles, ratio i or output speed, mounting position M1–M6, output-shaft side A/B/A+B, terminal-box orientation) and are available in six mounting positions M1 to M6, with breather, oil-sight-glass and drain-plug positions defined for each.
The selection guide states that the units are rated for steady load, a stated daily operating time and a limited number of starts; for other duty the required torque is multiplied by driven-machine, prime-mover and starting factors (f1, f2, f3) and compared with the permissible torque. The guide notes specifically that K-series spiral-bevel gear units can only bear load in one direction, so the rotating direction (viewed from the output side) should be indicated when ordering to improve the pressing state of the spiral bevel gear.
