Top 6 Bag Cutting and Sewing Machines for PP Woven Sacks
Six bag cutting and sewing machines from Yanfeng Group ranked by automation, output in bags per minute and bag types, with catalogue specs and a buying guide.
The bag cutting and sewing machines below are the six models we build at Yanfeng Group to turn a roll of woven fabric into finished PP woven sacks, ranked by automation level, output in bags per minute and the bag types each one covers. The list is for plant owners and buyers who are specifying the bag-making end of a woven sack line and need catalogue figures rather than sales adjectives. Our short recommendation: a general sack plant should start with the YF-850 automatic cutting and sewing machine; a plant making liner-inserted sacks needs the YF-QTF750; a cement plant packing in valve bags needs the YF-HKZ-600; and a plant that already sews by hand or prints cut sheets should buy a stand-alone cutter, cold-cutting YF-GSZL-800 or heat-cutting SQJ Ⅱ-800, and add the YF-FM800 sewing machine when volume justifies it.
Key definitions
- Heat cutting: the fabric is cut by a heated element (3 kW of thermal cutting power on the SQJ Ⅱ-800), which fuses the PP tapes at the cut edge.
- Cold cutting: the fabric is cut with no heating element; in our catalogue the cold-cutting models carry the higher speed ratings.
- Bottom sewing (hemming): the cut sheet's bottom edge is folded over by the folding width and stitched closed to form the sack.
- Folding width: how far the bottom edge is turned over before stitching, in millimetres.
- Stitch length (stitch): the distance between needle penetrations along the hem, in millimetres.
- Liner inserting: a PE film liner is fed inside the woven tube before the bottom is sewn, giving the sack an inner film bag.
- Valve bag: a bag closed at both ends and filled through a folded mouth (valve), used for cement and building-material packing; it needs mouth folding as well as cutting and sewing.

1. Automatic Cutting & Sewing Machine with Liner Inserting (YF-QTF750)
The automatic cutting and sewing machine with liner inserting performs the most operations in one pass of any machine in this list, which is why it leads it. It cuts the outer woven fabric (roll width 450–680 mm, cutting length 600–1200 mm, precision ±1.5 mm), feeds a PE film liner 20 mm wider than the outer bag and at least 0.01 mm thick into the tube, and sews the bottom with a 15–30 mm fold and a 7–12 mm stitch, with or without the liner caught in the seam. Both laminated and non-laminated fabric run on it, heat and cold cutting with a mouth-opening system are fitted, and deviation correction and counting are automatic. Output is 22–30 pcs/min from one operator. It weighs 5000 kg and occupies 5000 × 7000 × 1500 mm. Buy it when your sacks need a PE film liner and the liner would otherwise be inserted by hand.
2. Automatic Cutting and Sewing Machine (YF-850)
The YF-850 automatic cutting and sewing machine is the workhorse for ordinary PP woven sacks and has the highest catalogue rating of the three combined machines, 20–40 pcs/min. It heat-cuts (cold cutting is also available) and bottom-sews printed or blank bags from an unwinding roll up to 1200 mm in diameter, at a maximum cutting width of 750 mm and cutting lengths of 600–1200 mm with ±1 mm precision and a 20–30 mm folding width. A touch screen, PLC and stepping motor control the bag length, the mouth opens easily after heat cutting, finished bags are counted and collected in fixed quantities, and the fabric roll is loaded electrically by hoist. Gross power is 6 kW; weight 2300 kg; footprint 6000 × 6000 × 1500 mm. The product page also lists a cold-cutting variant, YF-850C, at 25–45 pcs/min; that model is not in the catalogue table. This is the machine for printed or blank sacks that need no liner and no valve.
3. Valve Bag Cutting Sewing and Mouth Folding Machine (YF-HKZ-600)
The valve bag cutting, sewing and mouth folding machine is the only model in this list that makes valve bags, the sack used for cement and other building materials. It takes fabric rolls 350–550 mm wide, cuts bags 500–900 mm long, sews with a 15–30 mm folding width and 7–12 mm stitch, and folds the mouth in the same line, producing 25–30 valve bags per minute. Gross power is 10 kW, weight 5000 kg and installed dimensions 6000 × 10000 × 1500 mm, so it needs a longer bay than the other machines. It ranks third rather than higher because it serves one bag type; for a cement bag plant it is the machine to buy. It sits in our cement bag making machine category.
4. Automatic Cutting Machine, cold-cutting (YF-GSZL-800)
The cold-cutting model on the automatic cutting machine page, YF-GSZL-800, is the fastest machine in this list at 20–90 pcs/min. It cuts rolled woven cloth into sheets at up to 750 mm width and 200–2500 mm length from cloth rolls up to 200 kg, driven by a 4 kW main motor with no thermal cutting element. It weighs 700 kg and takes 5500 × 1800 × 1600 mm. Because it only cuts, it ranks below the combined machines, but it is the right buy when cut sheets go on to piece-to-piece printing or to existing sewing stations, when bags longer than 1200 mm are needed, or when you want the highest cutting speed. Pair it with the YF-FM800 sewing machine below for a two-machine bag line.
5. Automatic Cutting Machine, heat-cutting (SQJ Ⅱ-800)
The heat-cutting model on the same automatic cutting machine page, SQJ Ⅱ-800, has the widest cutting width of the two cutters at 800 mm and the same 200–2500 mm cutting length and 200 kg cloth roll limit. It cuts with a 3 kW thermal cutting element; output is 20–70 pcs/min from a 4 kW main motor. It is the lightest machine here at 600 kg, on a 5500 × 1600 × 1600 mm footprint. Choose it over the cold-cutting model when you want heat-cut edges and need its 800 mm width (against 750 mm) more than the top speed. The product page names rice, cement, fertilizer, sugar and animal feed bags as typical uses of this cutter.
6. Automatic Sewing Machine (YF-FM800)
The YF-FM800 automatic sewing machine hems and closes the bottom of cut sheets fully automatically, with automatic folding, counting and thread cutting and an adjustable conveyor speed. It sews bags up to 800 mm wide and 1300 mm long, up to 8 mm thick, with a 16–25 mm folding width and a 9–16 mm stitch, at 20–30 pcs/min. Gross power is 2 kW (the product page also lists an air supply pressure of 0.8 MPa), it weighs 700 kg and occupies 4500 × 2500 × 1200 mm. It ranks last only because it performs a single operation; for a plant that cuts sheets on a YF-GSZL-800 or SQJ Ⅱ-800 and currently sews on manual stations, it is the natural second machine.
How to choose
- Start from the bag type. Valve bags for cement or building materials: YF-HKZ-600. Sacks with a PE inner liner: YF-QTF750. Ordinary open-mouth sacks: YF-850, or a cutter plus the YF-FM800.
- Check the width. Match your fabric roll width or lay-flat bag width against the machine's limit: 350–550 mm (YF-HKZ-600), 450–680 mm (YF-QTF750), 750 mm (YF-850 and YF-GSZL-800), 800 mm (SQJ Ⅱ-800 and YF-FM800).
- Check the length. Combined machines cut 500–1200 mm; bags longer than that, up to 2500 mm, must be cut on a stand-alone cutter and sewn on the YF-FM800 (maximum 1300 mm) or by hand.
- Size from output. Multiply the rated pcs/min by 60 and by your working hours per shift, then plan with the lower end of the range. As an illustration only (our arithmetic, not a catalogue figure): a YF-850 at 20 pcs/min gives 9,600 bags in an eight-hour shift; at 40 pcs/min, 19,200.
- Decide heat or cold cutting. The cold-cutting cutter is rated faster (20–90 against 20–70 pcs/min); the YF-850 page notes an easy-opening mouth after heat cutting. The YF-QTF750 is listed with both heat and cold cutting, and the YF-850 page lists both as well.
- Confirm power, air and space. Budget 2–10 kW per machine where power is stated, compressed air for the sewing machine (0.8 MPa as listed on its product page), and bays from 4500 × 2500 mm up to 6000 × 10000 mm for the valve-bag line.
Send your bag specification and target output through the enquiry form and we will recommend a machine set for it. Frequently asked questions
- What is the difference between heat cutting and cold cutting of woven fabric?
- Heat cutting uses a heated element that fuses the PP tapes at the cut line; the SQJ Ⅱ-800 cutter has 3 kW of thermal cutting power for this. Cold cutting uses no heated element and is listed at higher speeds: 20–90 pcs/min on the YF-GSZL-800 against 20–70 on the heat-cutting SQJ Ⅱ-800. Our product page for the YF-850 notes that the bag mouth is easy to open after heat cutting.
- How many bags per minute does an automatic cutting and sewing machine make?
- Our YF-850 automatic cutting and sewing machine is rated 20–40 pcs/min for bags 600–1200 mm long and up to 750 mm wide. The liner-inserting YF-QTF750 is rated 22–30 pcs/min because it also inserts a PE film liner, and the valve-bag YF-HKZ-600 runs 25–30 pcs/min while cutting, sewing and folding the mouth in one pass.
- Do I need a combined cutting and sewing machine or separate machines?
- A combined machine such as the YF-850 saves labour: it cuts and bottom-sews in one pass, then counts and collects the bags in fixed quantities. Separate machines (a YF-GSZL-800 cutter at up to 90 pcs/min feeding a YF-FM800 sewing machine at 20–30 pcs/min) suit plants that already have sewing stations, want cut sheets for printing first, or need cutting lengths up to 2500 mm.
- Which machine makes cement valve bags?
- The YF-HKZ-600 valve bag cutting, sewing and mouth folding machine. It takes fabric rolls 350–550 mm wide, cuts 500–900 mm long, folds a 15–30 mm hem with a 7–12 mm stitch and produces 25–30 valve bags per minute for cement and building-material packing.
- Can one machine make bags with a PE inner liner?
- Yes. The YF-QTF750 cuts the outer woven fabric (450–680 mm roll width, 600–1200 mm length), inserts a PE film liner 20 mm wider than the outer bag and at least 0.01 mm thick, and sews the bottom with or without the liner stitched in, at 22–30 pcs/min.
